Lewis River Rotary Club is part of Rotary International, a worldwide organization of business and professional people dedicated to service, fellowship, and the promotion of peace. Rotary was started in 1905 in Chicago, and now has 35,000 clubs and 1.2 million members in almost every country in the world. Since 1988, throughout the world, we have seen a 99.9% reduction in new cases of this crippling disease. Education and literacy are also a major areas of focus for Rotary. Lewis River Rotarians have awarded over $300,000 in scholarships in our short history as a major focus of service to our local community.
